Joe and I were just talking the other day about how the resistance to using Social Media is on the decline. You can tell when you’re friending your parents,  your parents’ friends and your friends’ parents on Facebook that there has been a major shift. Even my own sister who is very private and swore that she never would, signed up for Facebook this summer. I only have a few holdouts in my inner social circle now that refuse to use Social Media in any form.

This is true for our small business clients as well. We’re finding more of them embracing Social Media as marketing tools. It’s great to see them reaping the rewards and enjoying it, too. They’re not alone.

According to a new research study by Equation Research:

Social Media adoption as a Marketing Tactic has permeated nearly two thirds of all companies. Another third are actively planning to roll out strategies; with a common time horizon of three to six months.
